ODE TO SCHWITTERS SERIES

I have studied and interpreted the proportions of a Kurt Schwitters collage, Figure 70, from 1921. By translating the elements with my own printed and painted papers and personal imagery, I have conducted an exploration of this construction and composition. In each figure, I have challenged myself to use a different method or component of collage. I question society's standards of beauty in my figures and mix up male and female attributes. Commentaries on materialism are also sometimes present.
